We are pleased to announce a major updates to the Housing Society Module for TallyPrime with several much-awaited features, enhancements, and important bug fixes to improve your billing, maintenance, and accounting experience.
Highlights of the Latest TDL Updates are as follows
1. UPI QR Code Enhancement
UPI QR Codes printed on maintenance bills will now automatically capture:
This feature will greatly save reconcilation time identifying the payments received from the members. This feature works when the QR Code Type is configured as “Auto”

2. Supplementary Bill Generation
The much-awaited Supplementary Bill Generation feature is now available with an additional option to:
- Enable/Disable Interest Calculation on Supplementary Bills
- Printing of Supplementary Arrears on the Bill

3. New Enhancements in Bill Generation
3.1 Billing Period Selection
You can now define the billing period while generating bills, and the selected period will also be printed on the bills.
Example:
Societies generating bills on 1st May can now print billing period as April to June.
3.2 Wing/Building Wise Bill Generation
Bills can now be generated Wing-wise / Building-wise.
3.3 Yearly Bill Generation
New option introduced for yearly maintenance bill generation.

4. Bill Printing Improvements
4.1 Bulk Bill Printing Enhancements
New filters added for:
- Flat Configuration Wise Bills Printing
- Wing/Building Wise Bills Printing
4.2 Due Date Correction
Bills adjusted against advances were previously printing incorrect due dates. This issue has now been resolved.
4.3 Configurable Authorized Signatory
Authorized signatory titles are now configurable under Voucher Type settings. This allows printing of authorized signatory titles applicable to your society like Chairman, President, Secretary and so on.
4.4 Manual QR Code Printing Fix
Tally was getting crashed when payment QR code printing configured as Manual. This issue is resolved now.

5. Separate Late Payment Charges
You can now define separate Late Payment Charges for Flats & Shops seperatly.

6. Rate/Sqft Column Added
A new Rate/Sqft column has been introduced in Maintenance Setup for printing purpose.
This allows societies to:
- Define maintenance head-wise Rate/Sqft
- Print the same on maintenance bills

7. GST Setup Simplification
A new GST Setup option has been introduced under Society Setup.
If GST is not applicable to your society, Set GST applicability to “No” and system will automatically disable GST applicability in all ledgers
This will help avoid Dr/Cr mismatch errors for new users during bill generation.

8. Important Interest Calculation Fixes
- When Interest Applicability was set as “Due Date”, interest was not getting calculated if full payment was received after the due date. This issue is now resolved.
- Interest was previously calculated from Books Beginning Date instead of the configured applicability date. This issue is fixed.
- When Interest Applicability was set as “Bill Date”, interest was wrongly calculated even if payment was made before the due date. This issue is now resolved.
- Interest on debit opening balances was not calculated in the first bill. This issue is now resolved.

9. Updated Excel Import Template
Members Data Import Excel Template has now been updated.

10. Auto Creation of Important Masters for New Users
On first-time module activation, the following masters will now be created automatically:
- Interest Ledger
- Late Payment Charges Ledger
- CGST @ 9% Ledger
- SGST @ 9% Ledger
- Supplementary Bill Voucher Type

11. Accounting Group Creation Fix
Users were previously unable to create new accounting groups. This issue has now been resolved.
